Dan Leaver

Dan Leaver is our Director of Child, Youth, and Family Ministries. He was born and raised in Sarnia Ontario, and has spent time living in Red Deer, Alberta. He is a candidate for Diaconal Ministry in the United Church of Canada attending courses through The Centre for Christian Studies in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and hopes to be commissioned in the next two to three years. 

Dan has over 10 years of experience working with children and youth in regional, congregational, and summer camp settings. He has earned a Child and Youth Worker Diploma from Lambton College and a Certificate of Youth and Theology from Princeton Theological Seminary. Dan finds joy in leading Sunday School, youth groups, confirmations classes and describes himself as an “accompanying leader”, helping others discern and discover answers to their questions.

Dan’s hobbies include fishing, sailing, playing tennis, and hockey.
