John 3:16a: For God so loved the world…
The Heart of Christianity is to love God, and to love what God loves which is the world.—Marcus Borg speaking at Wesley-Knox, June 2009

Luke 17:20–21: (In this translation, the Kingdom of God is rendered as God’s imperial rule.) When asked by the Pharisees when God’s imperial rule would come, Jesus answered them: “You won’t be able to observe the coming of God’s imperial rule. People are not going to be able to say, ‘Look here it is!’ or ‘Over there!’ On the contrary, God’s imperial rule is right here in your presence.”
Thomas 113: “It will not come by watching for it. It will not be said, ‘Look here!’ or ‘Look there!’ Rather, the Father’s imperial rule is spread out upon the earth, and people don’t see it.“
The Kingdom of God is justice and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Come Lord, and open in us, the gates of your Kingdom.—Taizé chant
